Arizona Sonoran Copper Company

Arizona Sonoran Copper Company’s (TSX: ASCU | QTCQX: ASCUF) CEO, George Ogilvie discusses the company’s key strategic milestones, including +$30 million financing, permitting, exploration and drilling. The work programs for 2023 will feed into its integrated Cactus and Park/Salyer project PFS expected by Q1 2024.

ASCU is an emerging copper developer in Arizona. The proposed SXEW heap leach project is on a brownfield site (formerly ASARCO’s Sacaton Mine), situated less than an hour’s drive from the Phoenix, AZ international airport on private land, and accessible by highway i-10. The Cactus Project is the third largest independent copper project in the US, behind its neighbour, Ivanhoe Electric’s Santa Cruz. It is permitted for water in a tier 1 location, and an experienced technical management team.

About Arizona Sonoran Copper Company

ASCU is focused on developing the Cactus Project, a brownfield copper project, on private land in Arizona. The company is on track to issue its first PFS in Q1 2024, envisaging a 45ktpa simple heap leach and SX/EW copper operation. With permitted water availability, a streamlined permitting framework and infrastructure already in place, ASCU's Cactus Project is a lower risk copper development project in an infrastructure-rich and geopolitically safe region. The Cactus Mine Project, also the third largest independent copper development project in the US, is located less than an hour's drive from the Phoenix International airport via highway i-10, with grid power and the Union Pacific Rail line running past the Project’s main road.
